Although this site is brand new, I plan to have it become a central source for you to find reviews on seduction books, CDs, videos, and other game-related material. My first review will be of Neil "Style" Strauss' new book Emergency, which was released just a few weeks ago.

PostHeaderIcon PUA List: Various Gurus and Their Strengths

After two years of listening to famous PUAs, here is my overall assessment of their strengths:

Ross Jefferies: Jefferies focuses on the words you use to pick up women. (Tyler focuses on high intensity, David D being a man, Style on coming in under the radar, Myster on knowing how to gage or calibrate and move forward.) He explains how to choose and speak words to evoke in a woman the feelings you want. Controlling a woman's emotions is the underlying goal of each of these PUAs, and Jefferies does this through his words; he focuses on capturing her imagination. He uses neurolinguistic programing, which seems to be a subtle form of hypnotism.

Love Systems (formerly the "Mystery Method"): These guys give you highly specific instructions for pick up. Neil "Style" Strauss partnered with Mystery for years when he developed his system (the Annhilition Method, discussed next), and Style articulated it best: You need success to have confidence around women, so learning concrete steps to become successful is great first step. Love Systems truly understands group dynamics, which is so key to attraction. Several girls I've been romantic with have said that when they see her friends and everyone else having a great time around me, her attraction spiked. Love Systems consists of Mystery, Savoy, Matador, and Lovedrop. I adore Lovedrop.

Style: He wrote the New York Times bestseller The Game, which tracked his two year journey going from an AFC ("average frustrated chump"), as he describes it, to one of the world's top pick up artists.

Mystery eBook Revelations

Craig: Often seen on David Deangelo's programs, Craig is such a sweet dude. He just likes having a great time.

Tucker Max: He doesn't promote himself as a PUA, but he is so funny and great with women that he was interviewed in David D's monthly Interviews with Dating Gurus. Tucker Max wrote the best-selling book I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell, which is coming out as a movie this year. While Style may write the most profound and well-crafted stories, Tucker writes the funniest stories by far of anyone in the pick up community.

Hypnotica: Good friends with David D, he uses hypnotism and nuerolinguistic programming to get to the deep seeded issues that listeners -- men -- face. He may be most famous for his "Sphinx of the Imagination" audio program, which is an audio clip you listen to while meditating that takes you through a journey through your own psyche; it is truly a moving experience. Hypnotica said it took him years to make, and that is reasonable since the audio clip is pretty much perfection.

Steve P: Often seen with and works with Hypnotica. Steve P is similarly ingenious with using neurolinguistic programming to improve your game.

David Deangelo: he is the nexis of PUAs. He is the PUA that all the other PUAs love to be around. He is famous for his lessons on being cocky and funny, but that really just underlies what makes his teachings so amazing: He teaches you how to be great person and explains how that is connected with being a great man and how that leads to healthy relationships and more women being attracted to you.

Roosh V: Roosh is a young up and comer. He wrote the Bang: Guidebook and is a D.C. native, so I'm giving him a shout out.

PostHeaderIcon History of the Open Study of Pick Up: A Brief

The chronology of the emergence of game in stages seems to be this: 1) Ross Jefferies in the nineties. 2) David Deangelo usurping Jefferies in the early 2000s. 3) Neil Strauss published The Game a few years ago, and it quickly became a New York Times bestseller. (As a sidenote, Strauss wrote as a cultural beat reporter for the New York Times before he moved over to writing for Rolling Stone, during which he wrote such incredible biographies (the reviews tell me) as Don't Try This At Home and Marilyn Manson's biography and Jenna Jameson's biography.) 4) Mystery comes out with a great show on VH1 that just ended it's season two in the end of 2008. That solidified him as part of the ranks of Jefferies, Deangelo, and Strauss (Strauss' book The Game focused a lot on Mystery since they were -- and are -- such great friends (their relationships was one of the most touching aspects of the book).

Support

I am here to support people who are serious about improving their game, people who consider game as a step towards being a more fulfilled person. Do not think game be a panacea; self-improvement is a life-long process. Concurrently to fixing your game, you should work on other major areas of your life. Fortunately, to be great at game you need to fix some of the most important behaviours and beliefs you have, so in a way, game helps tell you how to improve yourself to get to be a stronger person in general.

Development

If you are not a jovial person, then I would work on that first -- start to free yourself from the main restraint of life that is stress. Laugh as much as possible. That'll fix your personality so that the game lessons you learn here and elsewhere you can execute naturally and with the greatest personal immediate enjoyment (once you start seeing girls' rejections as funny, approaching becomes a win-win situation: if she plays along with your game, then you're going great with her; if you shout out your introduction (and you should shout it: SPEAK LOUDLY!! That's so key. She needs to hear your opener.) and she rejects, it's funny in whatever angle that makes you think it's funny.

Strategy

Field is king -- you must go out to internalize the lessons you learn; the lessons are the yin to the field's yang: lessons will give you the force to be one with others in the bar, to both be in opposition with and fulfilment of your true self.

PostHeaderIcon Who should read about pick up, who should read PUA List?

AFCs should definitely, because this will give them an idea of what resources are available to help them improve their situation with women, and this is important for them to get an idea of since different PUA gurus fit different personalities of listeners (except David DeAngelo, who is almost universally accepted). Other men should read this, too, because improving game is a journey, it is an ongoing process that will never finish but can reach and surpass a point at which it become pure enjoyment to learn.

Never beg for what you have the power to earn.”
